The junior arms of many VAFA clubs have again provided much of the talent in this year’s AFL Draft. The number 3 pick Angus Brayshaw (Hampton Rovers) headlines a list of players that played their junior football at clubs that foster many of today’s VAFA footballers.
Two VAFA clubs tweeted congratulations to Brayden Maynard last night when the youngster was picked by Collingwood at selection 30. Maynard attended De La Salle whilst also played junior footy at the Rovers.
Other VAFA clubs were in on the act too, particularly the some of the old boys clubs.
