The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Belgravia Apparel/New Balance who will supply umpire uniforms until at least the end of 2026.
Belgravia Apparel are an existing VAFA-licensed apparel partner and the official Australian teamwear licensed partner of New Balance. As part of this collaboration, BA will provide high-quality New Balance uniforms specifically tailored for football umpiring.
Belgravia Apparel COO, Brian Waldron, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to welcome the VAFA umpiring fraternity to our fast-growing apparel portfolio. It is only fitting that the VAFA umps will now be decked out in the same elite quality New Balance products as clubs we supply as an existing VAFA licensee.”
“This partnership represents a meaningful advancement in supporting and recognizing the crucial role of umpires within the VAFA. As a VAFA partner we are committed to ensuring that this collaboration positively impacts the umpiring community, and look forward to the shared successes it will bring in the seasons ahead” Waldron said.
VAFA CEO Jason Reddick, was delighted to secure this new partnership, stating, “The VAFA is committed to ensuring we provide the best environment for our umpires in order to attract and retain strong numbers to service our clubs.
“In 2025 we are investing over $1 million in umpiring, which includes the provision of a free match-day shirt for every registered VAFA umpire.
“In partnering with New Balance, we are not only supplying our umpires with quality fitted uniforms for their match day experience, but also providing the additional benefit of discounts on the wide range of New Balance goods, which they can utilise in purchasing footwear, training and casual sporting gear for off the field.”
Umpires will have access to a new online store allowing direct postal delivery to the customer’s home. Umpires will also have access to exclusive discounts and sales across the New Balance range.
All registered umpires will receive further information about the above benefits shortly.
We look forward to seeing the umpiring group take the field in their new custom-designed gear in Round 1!
