Elsternwick and Brunswick are making the step up from Division 2, with the Wicks kicking off their campaign for a premiership hat-trick with an opening-round visit to Ormond in what will be their first Div 1 game in 38 years.
Brunswick, who last won the Division 1 flag in 2012, will begin their next chapter by hosting Therry Penola in Round 1 on Saturday April 5.
Monash Blues and Oakleigh are the two teams arriving from Premier C – the Blues, who won the Div 1 title in 2003, will visit Old Peninsula first up, while the Krushers, who won the Div 1 flag in 2007, will visit the Preston Bullants.
