2025 Premier C Men’s Fixture

The Premier C Men’s competition was one of the most entertaining and closely-fought sections across the entire VAFA in 2024 and promises to deliver plenty more excitement in 2025.

In 2024, three teams stood out from the pack throughout the home & away season – Old Carey, Hampton Rovers and AJAX. The Jackas copped untimely injuries at the pointy end of the season and finished fourth after bowing out to Parkdale in the First Semi, while the Panthers and Rovers progressed to earn promotion to Premier B.

That leaves Parkdale Vultures and AJAX – who played in the 2024 Reserves Grand Final – as potential pace-setters in 2025, along with Beaumaris and St Bedes/Mentone Tigers, who drop down to Premier C and will meet in the opening round on Saturday April 5.

Prahran and Parkside are the two teams promoted from Division 1 – the Two Blues dominating the competition to peel off 14 straight wins to claim their first senior premiership since 2017 under first-year coach Craig Milwarde, who has said that his team isn’t in Prem C to make up the numbers.

Their first challenge will be a stern one – home at a redeveloped Toorak Park against 2024 preliminary finalists Parkdale – while Parkside mark their rise to Premier C with an away trip to Marcellin in Round 1.

The mid-season double-bye will once again be a feature of the fixture, with a three-week gap between Rounds 12 and 13, allowing for the Big V Rep weekend followed by a bye; with the return of Big V Premier B – Division 3 football against the Bendigo Football Netball League.

The final round of the home & away season will take place on Saturday August 30 and will be directly followed by a three week Finals Series kicking off on the weekend of September 6-7.
