This weekend, the VAFA is thrilled to debut the SEN STADIUM feature which allows you to listen to the VAFA William Buck Premier Men’s SEN Match of the Day coverage in REAL TIME at the ground or wherever you are using the SEN App.
The VAFA becomes the first league outside of the AFL to utilise this technology, which will be made available for selected SEN matches for the remainder of the home & away season and the 2024 Finals Series.
“We’ve been delighted with our first season of broadcasting with SEN,” said VAFA CEO, Jason Reddick.
“The one missing link for local footy has always been the ability to listen to live commentary while you’re watching the game. If you tried to do it on your phone, it’s always 30 or so seconds delayed, which is of no use.
“So I couldn’t be prouder of our VAFA Media team working with our partner SEN to be the first football league outside of the AFL to deliver real-time radio coverage live at the venue for our fans to enjoy. It reflects our commitment to continually building our VAFA Media coverage, which continues to set the gold standard for community footy.”
The real-time SEN Stadium technology is available via the SEN Sync feature in the SEN App, which was upgraded earlier this year for AFL matches, allowing fans to listen to the footy with zero latency without having to connect to WIFI.
“We’re thrilled to bring our SEN Stadium technology to the VAFA and deliver a world-class audio solution to local grounds across Melbourne,” said SEN Digital Director, Simon Chapman.
“The commentary is a zero latency audio experience that works on your device whether you are using 5G, 4G or even a local wifi network. Simply download the SEN app, hit the stream of the VAFA match and select the SEN Stadium option within.”
