The VAFA acknowledges the problems with Play HQ yesterday and the frustrations it caused our VAFA community. This was an issue which affected all community football leagues.
PlayHQ apologised on Saturday evening for the issues and inconvenience stating, “PlayHQ is investigating issues with 404 errors on the PlayHQ Public Portal and PlayAFL App. Our team is working to resolve this ASAP. We will keep you updated as soon as we know more. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
PlayHQ staff were able to restore the system late Saturday evening, with all results and ladders now displaying correctly on the website and App.
AFL Vic, managing the system implementation, also responded as follows, “We will know more early in the week around the cause of the issues and will go through an incident report with PlayHQ which will outline the cause, steps taken to rectify the issue and processes in place for future weeks.”
The VAFA will continue to keep our community abreast of developments. Again, we apologise for the problems this has caused our Clubs, volunteers and supporters.
