The VAFA congratulates Kai Dimattina from Old Brighton Grammarians Football Club, who has received the Anytime Fitness Rising Star nomination for Round 11. Kai has been performing consistently and at a high level since his senior debut, with a standout performance from the weekend that earned him a spot in the best and a goal to top it off!
What the club said:
Kai joined Old Brighton in 2022 and was part of Old Brighton’s Under 19 side who made the Premier Division Grand Final.
He made his senior debut in Round 5 this season and has adapted to senior football really well, improving each game and consistently being amongst our better players over the last month.
Dimma has played an important role across half back and on the wing and was a standout in the win against Old Haileybury on the weekend. He uses the footy well, has a booming left boot and has a bright future in front of him.
