The VAFA has determined section structures for the 2023 season for William Buck Premier Women’s and Holmesglen Under 19 Premier Men’s.
William Buck Premier Women’s will increase to 10 teams, 18 rounds and 18 matches for the 2023 season, to maximise participation opportunities as per the 2022-2024 Women’s Football Competition Game Plan.
The 2023 season will see the Old Scotch, Fitzroy, and the VAFA’s newest club, Coburg, join William Buck Premier Women’s, while St Mary’s Salesian drop out.
2023 Section Structures
William Buck Premier Women’s – St Kevin’s, Kew FC, Caulfield Grammarians, Melbourne University Women’s, West Brunswick, Old Xaverians, Marcellin, Old Scotch, Fitzroy and Coburg FC
Holmesglen Under 19 Premier Men’s – Old Xaverians, Williamstown CYMS, Old Brighton, Old Scotch, Caulfield Grammarians, St Bernards, St Kevin’s, De La Salle, St Bedes/Mentone and Mazenod
The 2023 season will commence on April 15, as confirmed in the 2023 fixture calendar released last week, with fixtures to be released for the new season following consultation with clubs.
Section structures for the Men’s Divisional Competitions will be confirmed from week commencing Monday 14th November onwards. All remaining men’s and women’s competition structures will be finalised in early 2023 once final team entries are known.
