The VAFA Women’s Podcast is here again with Lucy Watkin and Eliza Wright taking you “Inside the Boundary”.
It’s been three long years since we’ve crowned a Premier in William Buck Premier Women’s. That honour sits with St Kevin’s Saints, who are back again on the final weekend of the VAFA Women’s season to defend their title and come away with the clubs second Premiership since the competition started in 2017.
Standing in front of them is Kew. The Bears have got the wood over SKOB with a win during the home and away season, and the major semi-final to book themselves a spot in the Grand Final after finishing second to the Saints at the end of the season.
This week, we go inside both camps as they prepare for the biggest battle of their football lives, Bree Doyle talks us through their thumping Preliminary Final victory over Caulfield and the mood around T H King leading into Sunday. While for Jess Burger it’s a case of managing expectations but harnessing the enthusiasm and excitement around the Bears.
