The VAFA is excited to announce a new streaming partnership with News Corp Australia, covering the 2022 VAFA Finals Series across William Buck Premier Men’s & Women’s, Holmesglen Under 19’s and the Mecwacare Masters.
The partnership will broaden the reach of Australia’s largest senior community football competition, with 15 matches live streamed on the KommunityTV service, 13 of which will be exclusive.
Additionally, the VAFA will also stream six Premier men’s and women’s Grand Final’s through its digital channels, while all divisional men’s and women’s season-deciders will be available on-demand on the VAFA website.
The coverage on KommunityTV will see all William Buck Premier Men’s and Women’s finals, Holmesglen Under 19 Premier Men’s finals and Grand Final, and the Mecwacare Masters Grand Final streamed exclusively live, with the Premier Men’s and Women’s Grand Finals streamed live through VAFA’s digital channels and simulcast on KommunityTV.
Each live stream will be complemented by the voices of the VAFA as the competition takes viewers onto the field in ways never seen before.
Now in its 130th year, the VAFA will award Premiership pennants for the first time since September of 2019, with the live action commencing this Sunday with the first week of the William Buck Premier Women’s finals.
VAFA CEO Jason Reddick said of the announcement, “as Australia’s largest senior community football competition, it is exciting for the VAFA to now partner with News Corp and bring exposure of our community matches and distinct competition brand to an even wider audience.”

New subscribers to KommunityTV can access a special introductory offer of $1 a week for the first 12 weeks. Subscribers will have full access to News Corp’s wide range of content across their metro mastheads, including the Herald Sun. Existing subscribers to News Corp already have access to KommunityTV.
News Sport Network managing director Michael Wilkins said the partnership with the VAFA provided an opportunity to engage with a passionate sporting community in Victoria.
