The VAFA congratulates Sienna Jones from Aquinas on her Round 8 Anytime Fitness Women’s Rising Star nomination. Sienna kicked 2 goals in Aquinas’ 2 point win over Collegians on the weekend. The win keeps Aquinas in touch with the top four in Premier B Women’s.
What the club said:
Sienna has enjoyed a fantastic start to her Aquinas career, slotting in seamlessly to the senior team’s forward line.
At just 17 years of age she possesses courage beyond her years and is regularly crashing packs and making her presence felt.
Her goal sense is exceptional and she has been hitting the scoreboard regularly, she’s also proved herself a more than handy defensive forward when called upon to fill that role.
Her gutsy mark running back with the flight before finishing with a long range goal on the run in the game at J.W. Manson Reserve on the weekend was testament to her talent.
Sienna is a hard worker, rarely missing a training session and all of us at The Bloods are so proud to see her efforts rewarded
