Big V coaches confirmed for Bendigo clashes
The VAFA are delighted to announce that LUKE MAHONEY & PAUL CARRIGAN will lead the Big V into battle against Bendigo FNL in July. The VAFA will send two teams
There’s plenty to play for in Round 7 of the VAFA season with crunch games, rivalries and grudge matches wherever you look this weekend!
The rivalries don’t come much bigger than two of the most successful teams in William Buck Premier.
Old Xaverians have moved back into the top 4 after a win last weekend while St Kevin’s are yet to drop a game after the opening 6 rounds sitting outright on top.
Join Joe Pignataro, Josh Heriot and special co-host “Grumpy” Brian Waldron for the Saturday Warm-Up from 1pm, plus in-depth interviews with Xav’s President, Matt Cosgrave and director of footy at St Kevin’s, Brendon Goddard.
Simon Petch and injured Xav’s forward Brendan Goss jump on the microphones at 2pm for the best call of all the action.

Last week it was Melbourne University Women’s annual Pride Game, this weekend it’s West Brunswick’s turn.
The Magpies in 4th spot on the table will play host to ladder leaders Brunswick at Ransford Oval with all the action kicking off from 2pm.
Mitch Dyer will be leading the coverage LIVE from Ransford Oval, filled with plenty of colour and interviews throughout the afternoon. Joining him in the commentary box will be Matt Holmes from the West Brunswick Magpies, while Essendon VFL/AFL legend Gary Foulds takes us through the Brunswick team for the afternoon.
You can stream the action live right here on the VAFA website and on the VAFA Facebook page.
Premier B Men’s sees Old Haileybury playing host to ladder leaders University Blacks in a must-watch clash. In recent times these two sides have been evenly matched with previous encounters going right down to the wire.
In William Buck Premier Women’s, Caulfield Grammarians welcome St Kevin’s to Glen Huntly Oval. In a shock loss last weekend St Kevin’s will be aiming to get back on the winners list while the Fields are one of the strongest contenders this year to take out the title.
Both of these games will be streamed live and accessible through the My Sport Live channel and App.
