The VAFA congratulates Serene Vudiniabola from Old Haileybury who is the round 3 Anytime Fitness Rising Star nominee. Serene is scoring on average more than a goal a game in the early part of her senior career.
What the club said:
The Haileybury Hearts are thrilled with the news that Serene Vudiniabola has been nominated as this week’s Rising Star nominee.
Serene is a past student at Haileybury College where she first played football in the same year that she completed year 12 in 2019. After being invited to train with the Dandenong Stingrays in the Covid interrupted season of 2020, she joined the Haileybury Hearts last year.
Serene continues to develop her game through hard work and dedication to the sport.
She played her best game of her short career on the weekend where she rotated between the ruck and centre half forward.
Serene was a clear best on ground as she took some strong marks and also kicked 2 goals. It’s nice to see her efforts being recognised by the VAFA and we have no doubt that as she gets more football experience that Serene’s game can progress to even greater heights.
