Big V Premier B-Division 3 beats brave Bendigo
The VAFA’s Big V Premier B-Division 3 team found itself under intense pressure as it fought to hang on – and ultimately see off – a spirited Bendigo FNL line-up
The VAFA is proud to partner again with Breast Cancer Network Australia for the PLAY4BCNA Round in 2022 in support of Australians affected by breast cancer, to be played on the weekend of May 7-8.
Following a hugely successful fundraising campaign last year in which VAFA clubs raised in excess of $28,000, we have again registered a league fundraising event, with a collective fundraising target of $30,000 to help support the 20,000 Australians we know will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone.
The VAFA PLAY4BCNA round this season will take place across Mother’s Day weekend, on May 7-8 (Round 5). Clubs may choose to host their Pink Sports Day on an alternate weekend if required due to fixturing.
Clubs are encouraged to get involved in a way they feel appropriate, both on and off the field. From players in BCNA Pink football socks/laces, to a Mother’s Day weekend function, luncheon or high tea, raffles or donation tins at the canteen and bar. Club online donation pages can also be promoted to members and supporters via social media and club newsletters.
BCNA have everything clubs need, from free support and promotional materials through to great merchandise to order including pink socks and beanies.
Please find below the attached flyer with all the information you need to register for this important fundraiser in 2022. The VAFA is encouraging as many clubs as possible to get on board to try and better last year’s figure.
Clubs need to sign up by April 22 to ensure all BCNA merchandise is received in time for the round.
