The VAFA has partnered with AFL Victoria to introduce the VAFA Coach Development Program. This program is designed to improve knowledge of coaches and provide access to professional development in VAFA Clubs.
The program will focus on delivery of Education workshops to VAFA Coaches, working closely with clubs on establishing best practice coaching structures and organisation while supporting VAFA coaches directly with training or game day observations supported by feedback and ongoing development plans.
The VAFA will deliver this program in 2022 focusing on supporting Divisional Clubs (Division 2, 3 and 4) and its current Female coaches. The target group of this program will change in future seasons based on insights and feedback.
To help deliver this program the VAFA is introducing three positions called “VAFA Coach Developers”. A Position Description is available with the key roles and responsibilities of VAFA Coach Developers. If you know of someone who may be a great fit for a VAFA Coach Developer role please ask them to fill in the below Position Application form by January 28th, 2022. VAFA Coach Developers are paid positions and will require a commitment of approximately 35 hours through the 2022 season. Ideally, VAFA Coach Developers are not coaching a team in 2022.
