Brett Connell – VAFA CEO
In light of the most recent State Government announcements, all matches scheduled for the weekend of July 24/25 have been cancelled in line with our COVID policy.
The Board and Administration understands the effects these cancellations have not only on players, umpires, coaches, clubs and volunteers, but also the home & away season, pending finals series and associated matters – not to mention the financial implications for clubs, umpires and the VAFA in general.
The VAFA Board and Administration have been solely focused on the impacts of these COVID disruptions on our season, competition and finances since recent lockdowns were announced.
We are meeting today to determine a way forward and provide as much certainty as we possibly can to our community.
Please keep safe and well and we will advise further tomorrow.
