Lions & Blacks on the board – William Buck Premier Men’s Round 3 in Review
As predicted, anyone can beat anyone on any given day in Premier Men’s, as a couple of 0-2 teams dug in to post their maiden wins in Round 3. Collegians
The VAFA congratulates Old Trinity young gun Austin Hodge after he was named the Round 10 Men’s Rising Star nominee following his standout performance for the T’s on the weekend with 23 disposals and five inside 50’s against SKOB.
What the club said:
“Venturing across from Gippsland Power, Austin joined Old Trinity in 2019.
Austin plays like Marcus Bontempelli; a big bodied midfielder who uses it well and seems to always have time when ball is in hand. He has an ability to break the lines and create space for himself and team mates, elite tackle pressure and fearless attack on the ball winning many 50/50 contests.
Austin is quietly spoken but loves getting around the boys for beers post game and having a good yarn.
We are extremely lucky to have him at our club as he has bought into our culture and has been a fantastic contributor so far this year.”
