Round 11 saw wild and woolly conditions across the competition, with teams putting everything on the line before the representative football bye weekend. It was a low scoring affair at
PEGS claimed their first win of the 2019 season, defeating Old Camberwell by five goals at Gordan Barnard Reserve. The Bombers started well with three goals to one in the opening term and continued their hot form with a further 10 to seven thereafter. Jackson Young kicked three goals for the Bombers while teammate Max Philpot starred in a BOG display. Matthew Powell was impressive with four goals for the Wellers.
Hampton Rovers made it three wins on the trot after they defeated Ajax by 41 points at Boss James Reserve. The Rovers led by 10 points at half time before piling on 11 goals to six in the second half. Sam Bradford was simply unstoppable for the Rovers with nine goals in a BOG performance, tripling his previously highest output of three majors against Old Camberwell in Round 4. Daniel Corp was exceptional with three goals for the Rovers, while Brandon Joel stood tall for the Jackas.
Williamstown CYMS strengthened their position on top of the Premier C ladder with a comfortable 51-point victory over Old Mentonians at Fearon Reserve. The CYs led by just two points at three quarter time before blowing the Panthers away with eight unanswered goals in the fourth term. Jack Noonan booted three goals and was named best afield for the CYs while Alexander Cross impressed for the Panthers in just their second loss of the season.
Marcellin jumped into third spot on the ladder after they defeated Mazenod by 20 points at Central Reserve. Trailing by 20 points at the first break, the Eagles kicked found themselves behind the Nodders at every break before kicking eight goals to one in a match-winning final term. Alastair Clayton led from the front in the Eagles come-from-behind win while Joshua Muling continued his outstanding form for the Nodders.
Ormond came from the clouds in their Round 6 match-up with Old Ivanhoe, running out 11-point winners at Chelsworth Park. The Monders trailed by 31 points at half time but galvanised and booted 14 goals to seven in the second half. Sam Mason (6) and Simon Buckley (4) booted 10 goals between them for the Monders while Sam Keogh found plenty of it for the Hoers.
