2025 Holmesglen Under 19 Premier Men’s Fixture
The Holmesglen Under 19 Premier Men’s competition provided some thrilling footy in 2024, with so much exciting young talent on display. Old Brighton (15-3) claimed the minor premiership by two
The VAFA congratulates Old Trinity’s Isabella Hayes after she was named the Round 2 Anytime Fitness Rising Star following her standout performance against Melbourne Uni last weekend.
What the club said:
“Isabella started playing football at a young age having played Auskick with the boys until 13. Due to the female participation restrictions within AusKick, Isabella stopped playing for a couple of years. At 15, she joined Banyule for a few years before transferring back to her home club, Heidelberg Football Club to finish out her junior years.
Isabella’s dad has always been heavily involved in football, having coached and played. She picked up her love of football from him. She also has two younger brothers who have been playing since adolescence.
Isabella plays like Jess Del Pos from GWS (AFLW). Although Is believed they are only slightly alike in their playing ways, she thinks she is extremely talented. Her strengths are being able to read the play and not being afraid to put her head over the footy plus the ability to snag a goal on the run!
Is is renowned for coming into a previously established club with a positive attitude and the ability to get on well with all of our players. She has shown great strengths being selected as one of two new club players for our senior squad. Is has also been selected in our top 6 players of the match for both rounds so far.”
