The 2025 VAFA William Buck Premier Women’s fixture has been updated and re-released, due to the following team changes: As a result, the entire fixture has been rescheduled, given Collegians’
The VAFA congratulates De La Salle defender and Big V U19s vice-captain, Geordie Nagle, who has been named the Round 13 Grill’d Rising Star nominee following his outstanding performance during his side’s 47-point win over Old Scotch on the weekend.
What the club said:
“Geordie joined De La Salle in 2017 first playing in the Under 19s when duties with his TAC Cup team Sandringham Dragon permitted him to do so. Geordie is brave, reliable and competitive. He is strong overhead and prepared to run and share the ball which suits our game style.
He has slotted into the seniors playing every game in defence when he’s been available and is fast becoming a club favourite. He is quiet and unassuming with an infectious smile. He has a work ethic and level of professionalism we all admire.
He is renowned for being a young trusted defender in similar vein to Carlton’s Sam Docherty. Geordie is still at school! He is in Year 12 at Box Hill Secondary College and he has been able to combine his studies with his commitments to both Box Hill Hawks and our Club incredibly well.
He has been rewarded with VAFA Under 19 honours including the vice captaincy as well as selection in the AFL Young Guns matches this season.”
