12 Melbourne University players, including Big V star Mietta McDonald, will pull on the boots while six have been named for both Collingwood and Richmond.
Eight players from the inaugural Big V side that defeated AFL Goldfields will represent their VFLW team, including; Big V vice-captain Kate Macqueen and Monique Maitland (Southern Saints), Grace Buchan (Collingwood), Lisa Davie and Kate Dempsey (Richmond), McDonald (MU), Gabby Golds and Spirit of the Big V recipient Irena Malliaris (Essendon).
After two standout matches for Old Xaverians, Vaomua Laloifi will run out with the Pies, while Old Haileybury’s Sarah Casey returns from a season-ending injury that derailed her 2017 campaign as part of the Southern Saints.
A further 11 VAFA players have been named as emergencies.
