The VAFA congratulates Scotch Stars’ Maxine Wells who has been named the Round 3 Anytime Fitness Rising Star after her dominant performance in Scotch’s 100-point win over Hampton Rovers on the weekend.
“Maxine played for the MLC School Aussie Rules team before joining Old Scotch this season.
She is a natural athlete who enjoys getting in space and running, and who has followed football all her life.
Maxine plays a lot like AFLW player Erin Phillips. Her strengths as a footballer include good clean hands below her knees, very fast, excellent peripheral vision and delivers the ball out in front.”
