The VAFA Board is pleased to announce it has accepted an application made by the Melbourne Cricket Club to become a member club of the VAFA for the 2018 women’s season.
The MCC recognised the need to be a part of the momentum in women’s football and provide its members with the opportunity to play in our Association. They were impressed with the success of the VAFA women’s competition this year which was made up of 40 teams across five sections.
As with any applicant, the Board considered all the required information and the MCC will serve a period of time as a probationary member.
The VAFA looks forward to welcoming one of the world’s biggest and most respected sporting clubs into our Association.
