The VAFA congratulates Old Carey midfielder, Danyon Reinbold, who has been named the Round 14 Men’s Rising Star Nnminee after his outstanding performance for the Panthers’ during their six-point win over St Bernard’s on Saturday.
What the Club said:
“Danyon came to Old Carey in 2017 straight out of Year 12 at Carey Grammar.
He plays in the same mould as Joel Selwood with his fierce attack on the ball and the contest. Playing as an inside mid in his return to Senior footy in the last three games after debuting in Round 1, Danyon plays tall as he is strong in the air. This complements his strength around the contest and he also goes forward and kicks goals.
Danyon is renowned for his thirst for knowledge on the game and how he can better himself in every aspect of footy.”
