The VAFA congratulates Collegians half-back Fraser Cameron who has received the Round 10 Men’s Rising Star nomination following his standout performance for the Lions in their 10-point victory over St Bedes/Mentone Tigers.
What the Club said:
“Last year, Fraser played at Collegians as a Year 12 student and was a member of their Under 19 premiership team. During 2016, he also played two senior games, in both of which he performed more than admirably.
Fraser is an attacking half back who can go into the midfield and play both inside and outside. His ability to read the play and take the game on in such a positive manner is fantastic for a player of his age.
He plays like Jason Johannisen or Michael Hibberd. Fraser is renowned for being a great young player who has a long future at Collegians, unless he goes further in his football career, which wouldn’t surprise anyone in the VAFA community.
He is a very tough player who is fearless when attacking the football.”
