WOMEN’S PREMIER
Fitzroy-ACU sit second on the ladder after defeating Caulfield Grammarians by 11 points at Glenhuntly Oval. A relatively even contest was reflected by scores being level after the third quarter, but a tenacious Fitzroy outfit managed to get the job done. Caulfield’s Millie Klingbeil shone for her side scoring one of two goals, while Roygirls skipper Gemma Minuz was best afield.
SKOB Saints continue their winning form after a 39 to three point win over Old Xaverians at Xavier College. The top-of-the-table side gradually built on their score throughout the match and also kept their opponent from scoring any majors. Georgia Lupson (3) and Georgi Conlan (2) kicked the Saints five goals.
A four-goal haul from Claire Messent helped Old Trinity to a 12-point win against Marcellin at Hudson Oval Marles Playing Fields. Old Trinity produced a four-quarter performance where they started strong and continued their form for the remainder of the game. Messent shone and booted all of Old Trinity’s four goals, while Jessica Redmond kicked Marcellin’s one.
Brunswick Renegades recorded their third win after defeating Melbourne University (1) by 40 points at Alec Gillon Oval. A big third quarter of five goals to none secured the win for the home side. A strong performance Melbourne Uni’s Hannah Elliot was a positive for the day while bests and goals were not submitted for the winning side.
WOMEN’S DEVELOPMENT DIVISION 1
Old Geelong is comfortably placed at third on the table after a 56 to 29 point win over Old Haileybury at Como Park. After a level score going into the second quarter, Old Geelong shot away in the second, third and final terms. A combined five goals from Anna Brodie (3) and Annabel Rafferty (2) contributed to the win.
West Brunswick reaffirmed their top position after an impressive 65-point win over Ormond AFC at McAlister Oval. A big second quarter of five goals to none set the girls up for their ninth win. West Brunswick’s Laura Jago produced a BOG performance for her side.
A close encounter at Banksia Reserve saw St Mary’s Salesian (1) get over the line against Beaumaris by four points. St Mary’s narrowly led after all four quarters with Beaumaris putting up a good fight. Rachel Gill shone for St Mary’s Salesian, while Courtney Bateman was Beauy’s best.
Old Brighton secured their sixth win after defeating Monash Blues by 11 points at Brighton Beach Oval. The low scoring contest saw Old Brighton lead throughout the four quarters with Monash giving them a slight score in the final term. Old Brighton had multiple goal scorers, while Molly McFarlane kicked the Blues’ two goals.

Top-of-the-table Old Camberwell recorded their eighth win for the season after defeating SBMT/ST Peters AFC by 61 points at Gordon Barnard Reserve. In a team performance of multiple goals scorers and many impressive on field, Old Camberwell produced a strong four quarters. Eloise Defina (4) and Ashley Sturrock (3) kicked seven of Old Camberwell’s 10 goals, while Samantha Fisher scored the Tigers’ only major score.
Spectators of W.A Scammell Reserve were treated to a 20-point Oakleigh win over Uhs-Vu AFC. Oakleigh made a fast start and continued to build on their score throughout the game while Uhs-Vu won the final quarter, which lessened the margin but was not enough to get the win. Oakleigh’s Casey Morris produced a best on performance with four goals.
A combined eight goals from Tarryn Jeffery (4), Matilda Hubbard (2) and Georgia Keramitsis (2) helped Old Carey to a 72-point win over Yarra Old Grammarians. Old Carey showcased dominance by kicking 11 goals and keeping Yarra to just one. Yarra were left completely scoreless until the final term.
A low scoring affair saw Ivanhoe AFC edge out second placed Collegians by seven points at Harry Trott Oval. Ivanhoe led after all four quarters with two goals from Rachel McLean contributing to the win. Nicole Tumblety was Ivanhoe’s best, while Charlotte Pooley shone for Collegians

Hampton Rovers won the fourth game in a row after defeating Therry Penola by just one point at Boss James Reserve. The low scoring contest saw the score level going into the final term, with one behind proving enough to get the Rovers over the line. Hampton’s Chloe McLaren and Therry Penola’s Casey O’Connell-Paladino kicked their teams’ only goals.
A massive five goals from Belinda Griffiths helped Old Mentonians to a 62 to 29 point win over Melbourne University (2) at McAlister Oval. Old Mentonians went into the final term with a nine-point lead over their opponent, but shot away in the fourth with four goals to none.
Mazenod OC put a halt to Ajax’s winning streak after defeating them by 17 points at Gary Smorgon Oval. Ajax led after the first quarter, but after strong second quarter Mazenod were able to take home the points. Mazenod’s Rebekah Watson was BOG, while Daniella Abraham was best for Ajax.

Swinburne University AFC has shot up to second position after a 16-point win over Bulleen Templestowe at Bulleen Park. A two goal to none third quarter helped the Swinburne girls get over the line. Hayley Wurful kicked two of Swinburne’s three goals, while Bridget Henry was Bulleen Templestowe’s best and kicked their only goal.
Canterbury defeated St Mary’s Salesian (2) by 48 points at Canterbury Sportsground. After an even first quarter, Canterbury shot away in the second and built on their lead for the remainder of the game. Mary Spillane (3), Nicole McMahon (3), Kiera Bulluss (2) and Allysha Dyer (2) kicked 10 of Canterbury’s 11 goals.
SKOB Saints (2) reaffirmed their top position after a big 87-point win over Fitzroy (2) at Basil Street Reserve. The Saints once again showcased their dominance with multiple goal scorers contributing to their 12 goals and many performing around the ground. The SKOB Saints are the team to beat in Division 4.
A combined four goals from Amanda Ventura (2) and Alice Rogers (2) helped South Melbourne Districts to a 42-point victory over Brunswick Renegades (2) at Alec Gillon Oval. SMD led after every break, gradually building their lead throughout the quarters.
De La Salle continues to climb up the ladder after defeating Hawthorn AFC by two points at Jordon Reserve. After an even first half, Hawthorn went into the final quarter with a narrow five-point lead. A tenacious De La outfit made an immediate response and managed to edge out their opponent. De La Salle’s Leanne Brown’s two goals played a big part in the win.
