WOMEN’S PREMIER
After a close first quarter Fitzroy shot away to a 39-point win over Old Trinity at Hughes Oval. Only leading by four going into the second quarter, the contest saw Fitzroy gradually increase their lead for the remainder of the game. A stand out performance from Madison Bolton was a positive for Old Trinity.
Top-of-the-table SKOB Saints secured their seventh win after defeating Marcellin by 60 points at Basil St Reserve. A strong first quarter and consistent four-quarter performance resulted in a final score of 76-16. SKOB’s Sarah Cameron was amongst many goal scorers with five and Chiara Moretta continued to impress for Marcellin with two.
A combined four goals from Millie Klingbeil (2) and Simone Tribe (2) helped Caulfield Grammarians to a 23-point win over Brunswick Renegades at Alec Gillon Oval. A two-goal to none first quarter put the Caulfield girls in good stead, who gradually built on this early lead to take home the points.
A strong third quarter saw Old Xavs defeat Melbourne Uni by 24 points at McAlister Oval. Melbourne Uni were in control going into the main break with three goals to none, but the determine Old Xaverians outfit fought back for a stellar third and fourth quarter. Mia Tiernan shone for Old Xavs while Taylor Hunt was Melbourne Uni’s best.
WOMEN’S DEVELOPMENT DIVISION 1
A low scoring affair at Frearson Oval saw St Mary’s Salesian take home a 20-15 point win over Monash Blues. An even four quarters for both competing teams saw St Mary’s slightly edge out their opponent scoring one goal more in the third. A strong performance from Lisa Davie contributed to the win.
Old Geelong left the ladder leaders and then undefeated West Brunswick with their first loss at Como Park. The 33-point victors showed consistency throughout the match with a strong four quarters. West Brunswick were left scoreless but Jessica Roberts shone for her defeated side.
Old Haileybury tallied their sixth win after a 48-28 point win over Ormond at E.E Gunn Reserve. After trailing in the first quarter, a combined four-goal haul from Thora Louse Landare (2) and Mietta McDonald (2) helped the away side to their comeback win.
Three goals from Katie Grant helped Old Brighton to a 10-point win over Beaumaris at Banksia Reserve. A strong start of five goals to two proved enough for Old Brighton to maintain their lead for the remainder of the game despite Beaumaris outscoring in the second, third and fourth quarters. Thea Brown had a field day, kicking five of Beauy’s six goals.

A six-goal haul from Madeline Hince contributed to a massive 60-point Uhs-Vu win over SBMT/St Peters at Brens Oval. A six-goal second quarter sealed the win for the home side who also managed to keep the Tigers to one minor for the entirety of the match.
The women’s competition has recorded its third draw after Old Carey and Ivanhoe finished on even terms of 30-30 at Carey Sports Complex. Ivanhoe went into the final term slightly ahead but a strong fourth from Old Carey saw the scores level on the final siren. Meg Hermann kicked three of Old Carey’s four while Ivanhoe’s Rachel Mclean was best for her side.
Oakleigh edged out Old Camberwell by three points to a 31-28 point win at W.A Scammel Reserve. Oakleigh trailed after the first three quarters but gradually fought their way back to record their third win. Oakleigh’s Stephanie Wood and Old Camberwell’s Rhiannon Green finished best on ground.
Collegians kept Yarra Old Grammarians to one behind with a 38-1 point win at Doncaster Reserve. Yarra were left scoreless after the first half where Collegians kicked a respectable five goals. The second half saw no teams score any majors. Alexia Varkanis scored two of Collegians’ five goals.

Mazenod recorded their fourth win after defeating Melbourne University by 18 points at Mazenod College. The victors trailed after the first quarter, but their determination allowed them to take home the points. Kimberley Watson shone for Mazenod while Tiane Ryman was Melbourne Uni’s best.
Ajax remains undefeated in the third division with a 52-point win over Therry Penola at Gary Smorgon Oval. Ajax worked together as a team with multiple goal scorers and multiple best on performances to kick eight goals to one across the four quarters. Toni Hamilton was best on ground and scored four of Ajax’s eight goals.

Canterbury edged out Bulleen Templestowe by one point at Ted Ajani Reserve. The game saw Canterbury go into the final term in a good position with a lead of 14 points, but a tenacious Bullen outfit came within just one. Despite the comeback, Canterbury managed to hold on to a 25-24 point win.
Hawthorn AFC have shot to the top of the ladder after defeating South Melbourne Districts by 30 points at Rathmines Road Reserve. Hawthorn led throughout the four quarters with a stand out performance from Grace Webster. The final score sat at 46-16.
SKOB Saints recorded their fourth win and now sit third on the ladder after a 54-6 point win over St Mary’s Salesian at Basil St Reserve. SKOB’s seven goals to none proved more than enough to secure the win. Nicole Aldridge kicked two of the Saints seven while Emily Hastie kicked St Mary’s sole goal.
Swinburne University AFC showcased dominance in a 55-point win over Fitzroy FC at St James Park. Fitzroy had a fast start with two goals to none but were unable to build on this score while Swinburne went on to kick nine. A combined five goals from Hayley Wurfel (3) and Jamie Byrne (2) contributed to the big win.
De La Salle left Brunswick Renegades scoreless with a 31-0 point win at Alec Gillon Oval. A four-goal De La second quarter secured the third win for the away side who now sit fifth on their ladder. Carle Rooks booted two of their four goals while Tayla Weltner produced a best on ground performance.
