VAFA club leaders join AFL Victoria’s ‘Lead Your Way’ program
The VAFA is thrilled to announce that six leaders from across our competition have been selected to participate in AFL Victoria’s ‘Lead Your Way’ Program in 2025. Selection for Lead
At the VAFA conference in February, William Buck sponsored a new and unique session called the ‘Winning Pitch’ whereby one VAFA club from each section put their best foot forward in an attempt to win a $1000 sponsorship from William Buck.
The clubs that took part in this particular session were: Albert Park, Hampton Rovers, Hawthorn, Monash Blues, Parkside, St Bedes/Mentone Tigers & St Mary’s Salesian.
The session was very well attended by many other clubs and provided a great insight into how VAFA clubs go about attracting sponsors. Interestingly, the approach was similar regardless of the football section.
Hawthorn Amateur Football Club won the inaugural ‘Winning Pitch’ trophy (supplied by Winning Edge) and $1000 based on a tailored approach to William Buck including a clear understanding of what the sponsor would be receiving, who would be responsible for it, and a strong value proposition for their involvement in their club community.
The good news is William Buck is offering VAFA clubs a new opportunity to win a $1000 sponsorship.
The format will be different and not require a live pitch. All you have to do is send in a short video, presentation document or letter describing your club’s need for sponsorship and be in the running to win.
