
VAFA club leaders join AFL Victoria’s ‘Lead Your Way’ program

Bulleen Templestowe made it two wins on the trot and four for the season when they defeated Emmaus St Leo’s by 26 points at Bennettswood Sports Ground. ASnthony Lucisano nailed three goals and Brodie McLaughlin dominated in best-on-ground performance for the Bullants, while Nic Robin kicked three in his best outing of the year for the Animals.
A slow first half did little to stop the St John’s juggernaut as they came from five points down at the half and ran over Eltham by 24 points at Eltham College. Five unanswered goals in the final two quarters paved the way for the JOCs as Josh Mourant, Kane Arnold and Matt Nicholson booted two goals each. Evan McDowell was relelntless for the Turtles as they slumped to their 10th loss of the season.
Richmond Central were unable to secure their first win for the year when they went down to Yarra Valley by 40 points at Kevin Bartlett Reserve. Ben and Jonathon Trend were unstoppable for the Bushrangers, while Chris Hodgens top-scored with three majors. Jake Munro, Andrew Kelly and Daniel Cannon each registered two for the Snakes.
Inaccurate kicking in front of goal cost Melbourne High School Old Boys a much-needed victory as they lost to Preston Bullants by 14 points at home. Chris Polidoras and Dean Calcedo were phenomenal for the Bullants, as was Dylan Hamilton-Ho for the Unicorns. The Bullants sit two games clear in third spot on the Division 2 ladder, while the Unicorns are a win and percentage behind the Bushrangers in fourth.
