Therry Penola AFC will face off with Yarrawonga FC in the ‘Ricky Bannister Cup’ on the Labour Day weekend in support of Bully Zero Australia Foundation and Friends in Common.
Initially established as a fund raising event, the charity game was driven by his brothers and Brendan Fevola, to assist Ricky in his recovery following his unfortunate horse riding accident.
Whilst Ricky has sadly passed away, the benefit Cup continues with a different charity or cause now receiving any funds raised on the day.
Friends in Common is a local charity supporting cancer patients within the Yarrawonga and Mulwala district communities.
