The VAFA would like to acknowledge the passing of one its all-time greatest players and Legend of the Big V, Phillip McLaughlin.
A two-time premiership player with Old Paradians, captain of the OPAAFC Team of the Century and five-time Big V representative, Phillip’s incredible life will be remembered tomorrow at St Bede’s Catholic Church, Balwyn North.
The VAFA offers its deepest condolences to Phillip’s family, friends and the Old Paradians Amateur Football Club.

Captain 1952 – 1956 and 1958 – 1959
Best & Fairest Player 1950 – 1951
Member of 1951 and 1958 Premiership Teams,
Life Member of the Club
Captain of the OPAAFC Team of the Century
VAFA Legend – Represented the VAFA 1951,52,53,54 & 55 – was also State Captain.
Requiem Mass for the Repose of the Soul of Mr Phillip McLaughlin will be offered at St Bede’s Catholic Church Severn Street BALWYN NORTH Tomorrow December 11 commencing at 1.00 p.m.
