In a seesawing contest at Gary Smorgon Oval, Hampton Rovers came away with the four points as the beat the home team AJAX by 28 points. AJAX led at three quarter time but Rovers kicked five goals to none in the final quarter to run out easy winners.
St Kevin’s head into the Queen’s Birthday bye with an unblemished record after SKOBs made light work of Mazenod at TH King. St Kevin’s were home by 105 points as they had no fewer than 13 goal kickers in the rout, Williams the best of them with four majors.
St Bedes/Mentone Tigers returned to the winners list with a huge 77 point win over Caulfield Grammarians at the back of the racecourse. Velluto kicked seven goals for the Tigers who moved to second on percentage.
Old Brighton have snapped their losing streak with a big 55 point win over Old Melburnians at the Beach Oval. The Tonners trailed at quarter time, but kjcked 12 goals to 2 for the remainder of the game in a dominant performance. Rutter booting four goals for the victors.
Fitzroy won back to back games for the first time in season 2015 after they beat Parkdale Vultures on their own patch by 54 points. It was an even team performance from the Roys who kept the Vultures to just four goals on the day.
