Williamstown CYMS travelled to Therry Penola and came away with a record that sits uncomfortably at 1-4. The CY’s may have conquered the Lions in 2014 but they couldn’t prevent the home side from kicking six goals in the final term to come from behind to score a brilliant 11 point win. Jarrod Bannister (5 goals) and Corey Bannister (4) were the leading lights for Therry whilst Ebinger booted five goals for the CY’s in the loss.
Peninsula returned to the winners list in fine style with a comprehensive 1087 point thrashing of Old Camberwell at Peninsula School. Peninsula built on their already very impressive percentage to look down on the rest of Premier C after five rounds. Old Camberwell are looking up, still without a win this year.
Monash Blues consigned PEGS to the bottom of the Premier C heap after the Blues ran rings around the Bombers to win by 80 points at Monash University. PEGS like Old Camberwell are without a win this year, whilst the Blues are second to Peninsula by only 7%.
A ten goal opening term from Marcellin setup their 11 goal win over Old Haileyburians. The Eagles were rampant away from home as they were led by five goals from McMahon and four from Kay in the huge win that has them third on the ladder. The Bloods move to 3-2 and are a win outside the four.
Old Ivanhoe kept pace with the leaders after they won at Oakleigh by 45 points. The Krushers led throughout the first half, but couldn’t prevent and Old Ivanhoe onslaught after half time. Thompson booting five goals for the Hoes in the win.
