Hampton Rovers posted a big 90-point victory over Old Camberwell in the final round of the home & away season to secure second-position on the ladder and lock in a Semi Final against Marcellin next Saturday. Old Camberwell had nothing but pride to play for however the result could have impacted whether the Rovers finished second or third on the table. I am sure if anyone at our club was offered the top of the ladder finish at the end of the regular season, they would have happily taken it. If they had seen some of our early training sessions I think they would have leapt at it. But after having played out the season that is how it stands. No. 1 position – Marcellin. It has a nice look to it and is credit to ALL the players who have contributed to allow it to happen. But good as it is now it is still a job only half done.
