Big V Premier B-Division 3 beats brave Bendigo
The VAFA’s Big V Premier B-Division 3 team found itself under intense pressure as it fought to hang on – and ultimately see off – a spirited Bendigo FNL line-up
The VAFA would can confirm that both of the postponed Premier B senior matches will be played under lights at Sportscover Arena this Wednesday and Thursday nights.
On Wednesday night Old Melburnians will host St Kevin’s OB fwith the bounce of the ball to be at 6.45pm. As part of this special fixture 96.5 Inner FM will also broadcast the match from 6.30.
On Thursday night, Old Trinity will host Old Haileyburians at Sportscover with the match to commence at 6.45pm. The match will now also be broadcast by 96.5 Inner FM, with their coverage to start from 6.30pm.
All four clubs and the VAFA were keen to conclude the round 8 fixtures as soon as possible and the VAFA is delighted that all clubs have been able to compromise in order to do so.
All remaining fixtures including reserves and thirds matches for the above teams, as well as other postponed matches are still having their rescheduling finalised.
In total 17 matches were postponed from Saturday’s Round 8 matches due to the record rainfall in Melbourne on the Friday evening. All affected clubs are currently working with the VAFA on confirming the rescheduled matches.
