Old Ivanhoe is delighted to announce the appointment of Travis Ronaldson as senior coach for season 2013.
The club welcomes an extremely motivated & enthusiastic individual with an exceptional playing record and a passionate desire to continue his coaching career.
Travis has had a distinguished football career embracing the TAC, VFL, SANFL, VCFL & VAFA.
His career commenced at Gippsland Power (TAC) where he was captain in 2000/1.
Travis then played in the VFL, firstly for Tasmania FC (2002/5) followed by Coburg (2006/7) where he was captain.
In 2007 Travis fnished 3rd in the Liston Trophy and was named in the VFL team of the year.
Travis then returned to his home town of Woodside where he was captain coach in 2009.
This was followed by a season with West Adelaide (SANFL) in 2010 and in 2011 as playing assistant coach of Old Scotch (VAFA Premier Section).
He was also an assistant coach for the Victorian Country Under 18s in 2011 and Director of Football at the Morwell FC in 2011/12.
Travis runs a successful Fitness, Nutrition & Well-Being business http://www.travisronaldson.com.au/ .
He brings a wealth of knowledge in elite physical development with qualifications in strength & conditioning, human nutrition, exercise & sport, powerlifting & anthropometry.
We are delighted to have a person of Travis’s calibre & experience at Old Ivanhoe.
Travis will be joined by Chris Branigan who will coach the Under 19’s next season.
Chris played 137 games for the Club including the 2001 and 2005 B Section Premierships.
He is Head of Senior Sport at Ivanhoe Grammar’s Ridgeway campus.
The appointments are seen as an important step in ensuring that the Club is in a position to achieve on-field success next season.
Everyone is very excited about the year ahead with pre-season set to commence on the 19th November at Chelsworth Park.
