The club will retain its nickname, ‘The Synners’ and the club jumper, shorts and socks will also remain the same as will the club song. The club will continue to play and train at Jordan Reserve, Burton Street Chadstone. All history, records and awards will be retained. The Chadstone Football Club will participate in the Victorian Amateur Football Association D4 league in 2009.
The special resolution was endorsed with an overwhelming majority at the recent Annual General Meeting held at Jordan Reserve. Club President, Janine Bingham praised the decision was a positive step forward for the club, “It will ensure greater recognition with our local community. It will increase our player base, patronage, community awareness and sponsorship opportunities while maintaining the proud history, traditions and legacy of the Syndal Tally-Ho Football Club.
A special resolution for the club to form a Football for the Intellectually Disabled (FIDA) team was also unanimously supported at the meeting. An existing FIDA team has played and trained at Jordan Reserve for the past six months and its members have been actively assisting the D4 team off the field.
Chadstone AFC also welcomes Vatpak as a new sponsor of the club.
