
Big V coaches confirmed for Bendigo clashes

Xavs kicked their first goal at the 18 minute mark of the first goal and this opened the flood gates kicking another 4 in the final 10 minutes.
Newly promoted Xaverian Smith kicked three first quarter goals and was instrumental in their win. Josh Agius was best for Xavs whilst Robert Ashton battled hard all day for Scotch.
Scotch will need to defeat Trinity next week to regain their position in the four as Xavs and Old Brighton will fight out the fourth spot in an elimination final at the Beach oval.
Old Brighton sizzled in the first half to be in front by 6 goals at half time and were able to maintain this lead for the rest of the match. Trinity were leading at half time but fell away after the break to go down to a Ben Mannix led de La. Ben kicked 5 and was named their best player.
The other winners in A Section were Old Ivanhoe and St Bede’s Mentone Tigers
Officiating at McKinnon oval in his 500th match was Chuck Hinton and he watched Marcellin run all over the Bloods in the second half kicking 10 goals to 2. This week the goals were spread with McLaren only kicking 1. Considine was best for the second week in a row.
Other winners in B Section were Old Melburnians over St Bernards, Beaumaris over Caulfield, Old Essendon defeated old Carey and Old Camberwell beat St Kevins.
