Big V coaches confirmed for Bendigo clashes
The VAFA are delighted to announce that LUKE MAHONEY & PAUL CARRIGAN will lead the Big V into battle against Bendigo FNL in July. The VAFA will send two teams
The VAFA congratulates Luke Winter from St Kevins who has been nominated as the weekends Rising Star. Luke has been regularly featuring in the best players for St Kevins throughout 2022. He will be a feature of this years William Buck Premier finals series.
What the club said:
After finishing at the college in 2019, Luke like everyone played no footy in 2020, he then had a significant injury in the pre season of 2021 which meant he missed most of the season, he did however make his Senior debut just before the season was canceled.
Pre season 2022 and as a club we knew we had something pretty special, a quiet young man off the field but a competitive beast on it.
Luke is as good a ball hunter as anyone we have seen, his contest work for a young player is exceptional. Lukes teammates absolutely love him and love playing with him, arguably the most consistent player across the season so far, this award is thoroughly deserved.
