56 players have been named in the Premier B – Division 4 Big V squad set to take on the Western Australian Amateur Football League (WAAFL) on July 7.
It’s been three years since the B-D4 side last played but it is of the utmost importance to provide the opportunity and honor of wearing the Big V guernsey to all those throughout the VAFA. Due to the disbandment of the AAFC U23’s carnival this year, the VAFA pursued a home match against the WAAFL which will be led by Big V champion and coach Russell Barnes.
A maximum of 10 players will be selected from Premier B (5) and Premier C (5) and no more than one player from each club. The age limit of all players selected is 27 and under.
Training will commence next Wednesday 20 June at Elsternwick Park. All clubs and players will receive correspondence shortly. The venue of the match is yet to be confirmed.
The VAFA congratulates all those who have been selected and looks forward to carrying on the positive momentum created by recent victories from both our men’s and women’s senior sides.
