The De La Salle OC community is deeply saddened to hear the news of the tragic death of player Leigh Williams.
Williams was involved in a single car accident in King Island a fortnight ago and the news sent shockwaves through the De La Salle community.
Williams arrived at the football club on the back of a recruiting effort from Assumption College, along with a few of his close mates in 2007.
He was a fantastic young man and a great friend to those he met whilst playing at De La Salle, Williams was a member of the 2007 U/19 Blues Premiership Team.
The VAFA sends our thoughts to Leigh’s parents, Rod & Robyn, his extended family and friends, and his partner Lauren and their two young boys, Cooper (aged 4 ½) and Hunter (aged 2).
De La Salle will be raising funds over the coming weeks for Leigh’s young family. You can contribute a donation via the Leigh Williams Family Fun Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/LeighWilliamsFamilyFund.
