AFL Victoria would like to recognise clubs who set the benchmark in club development and recognize major achievements at club level within the State. Throughout the 2008 season, AFL Victoria will select a Community Football Club Achievement Award on a weekly basis, with all weekly winners being eligible for the AFL Victoria Community Club of the Year Award. Nominations may be forwarded to AFL Victoria either direct from the club or leagues may choose to nominate an affiliated club, with nominations accepted immediately and up until 29 August 2008. Nominations should highlight the clubs performance on and/or off field, club initiatives or examples of best practice, all of which would lead to developing a quality environment for participants and spectators alike and assist in improving the management of their football club. To nominate a club, please forward in writing of approximately 300 words, detail of how the club has set the benchmark in club development, with each nomination accompanied by a photo that represents the club. Please note the following awards selection process and prizes for each.

Block Mounted Certificate – Sent to each league to forward onto club.
Article in VFL Record – Recognition as weekly winner.
